Nonetheless, it is a great change of pace, tone as compared to the previous expansion and it will certainly fulfill many players' dream of living that carefree life by the beach. The expansion offered several welcoming features, although some were basically retool of The Sims 3: Island Paradise. Overall, Island Living added a substantial amount of content to the already enriched The Sims 4 universe. Last but not least, there’s also a new spot to woohoo. Be sure to do your part and pick up the litters.Ģ0) The Birds and the Bees. The Island of Sulani has a quote unquote health, the more you clean up and take care of it, the happier the island is. Jet Skis are the fastest way of exploring the ocean.ġ9) Say No To Littering. Like jet skis, boats, kayaks and so on.ġ8) Coast to Coast. If swimming isn’t your thing, there’s water transportation as well. (Please don't do that).ġ7) Water Transportation. Dolphins are basically friends and have relationship meters as well, which means, if you are treating them badly, they might just leave you. Just head over to buoys with fishes swimming around and call them.ġ6) Dolphin Relationship Building. Dolphins exists too, and you can play with them. This means, mermaids have unlimited power source in the ocean.ġ5) Friendliest Aquatic Creature. Each power used will deplete hydration, hydration can be filled by drinking or being in the ocean. Power sources are used to make a sim change moods, or if you have the Seasons Expansion Pack, control the weather.ġ4) Filling Up the H2O. When in mermaid form, hygiene is swapped for hydration, which is mermaid’s power source.ġ3) Liquid Source. Note that, Mermaids are also able to sunbathe and sleep while in the water.ġ2) Keep the Water Flowing. Much like your sim, you can also customize the outlook of your mermaid. To get kelps, either explore cave, go diving, or buy them with 500 satisfaction points, the effect lasts 24 in game hours.ġ1) The fairest of them all. To survive as a mermaid requires you to feed on kelp.ġ0) Need More Kelp. Mermaid is a playable life state reintroduced in this expansion from The Sims 3: Island Paradise.ĩ) Mermaids are herbivores. Mermaids exists, and you can become one too. There are new jobs to choose from, namely Diver, Fisherman and Lifeguard.Ĩ) Be One With The Sea. You can now exercise your creativity further by extending your house onto the ocean.ħ) Island-Hopping Professions. You can now build on water, which is extremely satisfying for players who like to spend hours on designing the perfect home environment. Like fashion, there are a lot of new furniture, like A LOT.Ħ) Naval Architecture. Furnish your island home with tropical ornaments.ĥ) Abundance of Choice. The world of Sulani is split into 3 parts, each with their own lot traits and only applies to the island: Oceanic Paradise, Clothing Optional, Island Spirit, Off the Grid and Volcanic activity.Ĥ) Engage in Local Culture.The homes of Sulani doesn’t share a lot of the same furniture with other world, their designs are unique to the Island. You can gear up for water activities like snorkeling and swimming.ģ) The Geography. The theme this time is laid back, carefree island wear and there are a lot to choose from. As with any expansion, there are new clothings and this one is no different. Right off the bat, there is a new aspiration called Beach Life with 2 new sim traits : Child of the Ocean and Child of the Island, and 2 new career traits: Natural Speaker, and Master of the Sea.Ģ) Rock the Island Attires.
